These dishes are designed to make you feel good, to directly reach your palate and from there to your heart, like the words of a sincere friend, to be enjoyed straightforwardly and leave, in the end, the irreplaceable taste of conviviality.

If you decide to come and try our creations, we will welcome you in Locanda Gaudemus’s largest room. Despite its generous size, we have decided to keep the number of seats at 24, to leave you the pleasure of the right privacy between one table and another, and ensure us the pleasure of pampering you with impeccable service and carefully prepared dishes.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor and, like every other environment of this historic residence, will welcome you with a wise mix of details designed to bring you a hint of other times, narrated by the framed photos on the walls and enhanced by vintage furniture pieces, gracefully relocated to blend harmoniously with the restyling of the spaces in a more modern taste. “I am in love with my place and my work. I create dishes to share the pleasure of tasting the best that the land and sea can offer us. I focus my energies on searching for high-quality raw materials, capable of telling a territory’s story. Sure, I pay attention to processing, to the evolution of preparations, but my mission is to amaze with the goodness of what I bring to the table, rather than with the unattainable complexity of the technique.” Eclectic, a lover of good living, Chef Claudio Lauritano, has a clear approach in mind and pursues it fearlessly. His cooking is based on simple rules and the search for authenticity. Following nature’s rhythm, the menu varies with the seasons and the market’s daily offerings.
He inherits the family tradition after having trained with various experiences in kitchens, including Michelin-starred ones, in Italy and abroad. He organizes his restaurant with the passion of a lover and the careful organizational ability that comes from years of experience also in the catering sector. “Trivially, knowing how to shop well and manage the unexpected means always having excellent and very fresh ingredients and satisfied customers. No technique, no innovation, no plating can ever compete with this.”

The Garden
During the warm season, you can choose to enjoy our dishes in the garden, under the shade of olive trees, or on the restaurant terrace to enjoy the sunset lulled by the breeze.
